How many times did you try it? Sometimes that error appears randomly as a glitch in the benchmark software. There have been times I saw it and ran a repeat benchmark immediately and the problem was gone. Unless it does it frequently I would not worry about it.

    Hey guys,

I've been looking all over for a way to get decent performance out of my dual 980M cards in my Alienware M18X R2 on Windows 10. So far my 3DMark scores have been complete crap. I've tried using the Clevo vBIOS and I've modded the mainboard BIOS using Swick for A11. So far I've tried using different drivers, different BIOS settings and I've tried tweaking the OC on my video card setting the main clock down by -40. However, the results so far have maxed out at a score of 9000 using Firestrike for high end PCs (third bench). Anyone have any ideas of how to get some of the posted scores I've seen in the 16000 range? Thanks.

What windows are you running ?

When I had my 980ms , I was using MSI Bios and Windows 10. I got a pretty good score.

I'm running Windows 10. I've managed to get my score up into the 13000 range now. Still trying to get it into the 16000 range though. Any suggestions?

Ah, ok, great thanks. Yeah, I'm actually running stock vBIOS on the cards for the most part and the default 330w PSU. I saw that the vBIOS on the video cards were not the same, so I extracted one and copied it to the other to get a major boost in performance. I'll checkout modding a PSU for more power. Has anyone tried modifying an internal PSU to be used as a stronger power supply? I've seen the tutorials on modding dual external 330w PSUs, just curious if anyone thought of modding the internal tower PSU as well.
