its ok i found once again the cause. the camera was turned off using the fn+f9. when i turned it off it was installed automatically because the driver was installed but couldnt be set up.

so the fn+f9 is not for taking photos as someone said before. its for turning off and on the camera.

by the way how to take photos with the camera? any software?

Use the YouCam program that came pre-installed. If you uninstalled it, it can be found on the M17x resource DVD that shipped with your system.

Sorry to hear. The time I had mine I didnt experience this beeping. Sounds like something is wrong. You cant locate where it comes from? Chassis itself or screen?
It doesnt sound normals to me, better contact Dell. They might send someone over to check it.

Might be the inverter of the LCD.

@I-amJustme: Is this the same as you describe?

I wouldn't know how to test that I dont notice the difference in beeping when the screen is darker or lighter...
The sound isn't coming from the screen its really comming from te underside of the laptop.

sorry but what is a mobo?

I'm going to call Dell tomorow about this and the touch buttons.. some of them don't work the way they are supossed too. And also the touchpad has a big part at the botom that isn't responsive.

Another question I've downloaded hwmonitor and when I'm running on the integrated card it shows the correct name of this card but when i'm running in the discrete card it shows the gtx260 and a rather different name for the integrated card... The intergrated card gets really hot when I game.. like 85 degrees shouldn't this be turned of when i'm running on the discrete card?

I have the same problem with the buzzing, not sure what it is. It does go away when i disconnect the power supply from the laptop. Hopefully something will come of this.
