    Hello!
Does anyone know the tgp of the 3070 in the 17.3" model ? Does anyone have this ?
I know that the tgp of the 3080 in the 17.3 is 150+15W however I could not find any info about the 3070. Is it 115W+15W like in laptops that are much cheaper than the AW or Dell is giving some extra tgp for the 3070 ?

You can safely say that on any Alienware laptop, Dell will give you the best or close to the best performance compare to other manufacturer, on the release of the new product.
You can also safely say that afer a period of 6 months or so (when all the good reviews and benchmarks are done) that they will force you to update your system with new versions of bios/awcc that will cripple/castrate the performance of your system. This will help them saving money on expensive warranty repairs. Unfortunatly this has been true for a few years now.

But now they improved their stragegy by allowing the customer, on a volontary basic, to auto inflict themselves a Castrated system with the extra-ordiany (sarcastic) new feature called TCC offset. You have paid a lot of extra money for that 10980HK and dell knows that the thin system won't be able to run it. So here is the solution they found for now:

You have the 10980hk? Hoping there is less of a performance hit with the 10870H. Was about to pull the trigger as my r2 just isn't cutting it, but all this has me hesitant.

Hum....that's a big difference. I am not sure it's related to your bios update. Are you sure you have the exact same settings? Can you still move your GPU temps slider in AWCC and set it at 87C? 12400 is your stock graphic score and 13400 is your overclock graphic score i think. Maybe your overclock profil is not correctly set.

pulled on the trigger on a m17 r4 3080 model with the 4k screen. Got $500 off so seemed like a good deal. Excited to see how this thing performs!!
