I don't understand why they are trying to make Alienware and XPS laptops so similar. Must be Frank's genius at work.
They should simply keep thin and light models completely separate, within the XPS line, and then just have slightly larger but much more powerful AW laptops in 17 and 15 inch, necessarily with very good battery life (90Whr+ battery, selectable Optimus).

We can talk about "Back to its roots". At least back to "Hybrid battery boost" once again. When Soldered ram and soldered Wifi wasn't enough...

Force the buyers over on the more expencive OLED panel and you'll get the more powerful 240w power adapter as bonus:D Many ways to increase their earnings.

    :)

That also suggests they have gimped the 2060 and 2070 power limits compared to the 2080, whereas currently at least the 2070 and 2080 (not sure about the 2060) both run at 90W.

    Unbelievable.

I have a feeling if you order the 9980H or HK along with a 2080 you'd end up with a 240 brick too. Not that this will be a common configuration.

If you go for the option with 2060 and the more expencive OLED panel you'll get the 240w power adapter as well. The power requirement for the new models is pretty thight. Just upgrade to a less effiency panel and things change pretty fast:)

This is DOA on pricing alone never mind all the other crappy soldered parts.
If your AW fan your better off getting the M51, they cost more or less the same .
