Too bad you don't have them side by side running the same OS version, driver revision, game version, etc.

Going from 90fps to 144fps given the smaller percentage increase in benchmarks seems a bit over the top as far as believability. :)

But, I am happy you are happy with your upgrade. :)

Can you maybe UV the GPU to see if that shaves off a few degrees? I must admit I am a GPU noob and wouldn't have a clue where to start.

@QUICKSORT sorry mate, it didn't quote your post for some reason, but the above was for you.

Yes but since destiny 2 is very cpu bottlenecked, a lot of it is probably going from a low clocked 8750H to a high clocked 9700k. In the main area with tons of people online , I used to be in the 70s, and now I’m in the 100s

Yup, there you go, there are a lot of inputs to performance, not just the GPU, so the overall upgrade is much better than the GPU differences only.

What I was trying to discern, what is the actual GPU performance improvement in FPS between the 1080 vs 2080. Picking a CPU improved result for the comparison isn't helpful. :)

It is also nice to see that the Area 51m is getting better results out of the box than the previous series.

It will be interesting to see how Dell handles the GPU upgrades - and if CPU upgrades are also possible in future variants.

Yeah I could try that. Although I'm a little skeptical now, as I don't want to touch anything that could potentially harm my laptop after what happened to my laptop.

Use the pro upgrade. All you need is to input the key. No xahges will be made to files or programs.

Pro is the only way to go in Windows 10, so you can disable telemetry and limit auto updates.

I installed my 16gb of ram today instead of the 8gb. My division 2 benchmark score went up with 1200 points and 15 fps. Safe to say that the 8gb bottlenecked me in some way.

Totally understandable, to be honest, I'd likely be the same, however, I'm sure applying a UV would make things safer? One of the more qualified members should be ae to give you better advice.

Overlay works just fine in Apex, on both MSI Afterburner and RTSS +HWinfo64 overlay mode.
Update your software. I see some of you using year old obsolete builds of MSI afterburner and RTSS. I mean, 4.6.0 beta 1? We're on 4.7 now.

    To be somewhat fair:
    1080 fps max = 125 Verified
    2080 fps max = 152 Verified
Stock is like a 25+ fps difference as well
I think that comes to 21.2 Percent.

Edit: This was in reference to the post about the firestrike score.
