This is what I did too. I'm not overly fond of having Win10 dictate this for me, but it works, and that's ok.

My Area-51M arrived at home today. Won't be home until tomorrow. Must resist opening until I have studied for my Monday midterm :oops:o_O:(

    --------------

Guys I have $174 credit in Dell Rewards. What should I get?

I've been looking at the 27" 1080p 144hz dell display or 32" 1080p 60hz dell panel. They're like $17 and $26 after credit. Can't think of anything else atm.

Here's some more details from Umar

LOL!! Good luck studying this weekend. That box will be calling your name every 10 minutes!

In regards to the memory, see if you can find out if they plan to add support for XMP? Perhaps people can set the profile to get 2666MHz / 3000MHz.

That's the same limit that I have on my MSI GT75 Titan laptop, trying to do anything like custom profiles to run at 2600 MHz will just result in a data corruption and random freezes. It ain't happening with 64+ GB. Period.

I don't know how 8700K are performing in a AW, but in a Clevo they are kicking ass. I still got a 9700K thou, and I love it like a family member (yes, I have had a drink or two, but I still love it as it performs like a madman!) ;-)

The Alienware Graphics Amplifier is on sale with coupons for roughly $158.. I’m considering getting that and another graphics card... not sure which one.. to kinda give the cpu more thermal headroom.. should help the longevity a lot.
