    Hey guys,

Did any of you succeeded in installing Windows 10 2004 on your machine?
I tried again yesterday and it was a complete mess.
First, there was no way I could install my Nvidia drivers (even after proper DDU) ==> BSOD. My Intel XTU could not work anymore. Installing about any driver through Driver Booster (something I usually never do) result in BSOD again...
I kept getting IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL on every move I tried.
I installed the October patch (10-2020) but it was the same story.
Thankfully I backed my machine up with Macrium before this very dangerous move of updating Windows.

In the end, I'm "stuck" on Windows 10 1909.
I guess that's not much of a problem to me, but I'm wondering if you guys also encountered some issues while updating your machine.

    Have a nice day!

    1) Update all your drivers to the latest ones in this ZIP (some of them may not be applicable to your system such as the card reader drivers but all the chipset drivers/touchpad/LAN, WLAN, Bluetooth/Intel VGA,/nVIDIA Graphics Driver/AWCC/OC Controls work just fine on the R1:

    Alienware Area-51m R2 Drivers 01-Nov-20

Make sure to right click on the file(s) you just downloaded, go to Properties, then hit Unblock from the bottom right as it may be blocked since it was downloaded from the internet, if you don't do this before you run the file or extract it, then it may not install correctly.

To prevent this automatic blocking of files in the future so you don't have to go unblocking every file you download to ensure it runs properly, follow the guide in this thread:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/are-you-sure-you-want-to-run-this-file-yes-or-no.825668/

    2) Create a Windows 10 USB Flash Disk using the latest Media Creation Tool

    3) Run Setup.exe from the USB stick to perform an in-place upgrade

The beauty of Microsoft... For each new upgrade it will just be worse. I can't understand why people absolutely need to upgrade before they need or have to. The new ain't better. Not at all. You only get more bugs.

Windows 10 20H2 Inplace Upgrade Fix [Download] as long as an Inplace does not work
Microsoft released the Windows 10 20H2 to everyone a few days ago. This version still has one "flaw". Because an in- place upgrade repair of the Windows 10 20H2 is currently not possible.

Be almost better to have one OS frozen for the life of the laptop. That OS would have been quality tested and verified as working prior to the customer buying. Once bought, no further changes to the OS could be made by any entity. MS updates and turdbooks. A match made in Redmond-Heaven (consumer hell).

Yep, way back when it was first launched. Used the upgrade tool and it went through no issues. It did kill my USB-C function with my phone, it just wouldn't connect anymore, so I rolled back to 1909 and then went back to 2004 again after that shortly after.

    Hi !

Thank you, I'll try that later.
However, you sent the R2 drivers, I own the R1, does it make any difference ?
