    Hey guys
So I solved the issues with the command center not working by doing a clean installation of windows .
I didn't have the partition from dell anymore so I just downloaded all the drivers from dell website.
Now I'm having another issue the laptop takes forever to boot at least a minute while before it was 15 secs
    I have a 970 pro
Does anyone have a back up from dell so I can just do a factory install ?
    Thanks in advance

Try unplugging and reattaching the internal battery cable

Mine does that also so I use Xtu to undervolt. With throttlestop in AWCC CPU speed does not display for some reason. Buggy software and App!

Hi all - I am in Australia and looking to purchase the R2 - there are limited R2 options for sale at the moment. The question I have is whether - as a newbie and someone who's not going to overclock, etc - does it matter whether I have the i7 10700 with 32GB of 2933MHz RAM (currently available) or i7 10700K and 3200MHz RAM (currently not available). Will the additional 'K' and RAM speed be noticeable to me when playing games?

For gaming, it wont matter 99% of the time you will be just fine.

Depends on your use case. If you are primarily a gamer, it won't matter that much or a number of reasons:
    * Dell supplies CL21-22 memory, so 2933 vs 3200 is a question of whether you like basic turds or wrapped turds
    * Games tend to be a bit less sensitive to memory speed, because of the huge reliance on the GPU

If you actually want the best memory, namely a whopping 20% faster than what Dell supplies, order 8GB of Dell crap and use HyperX impact 2933 CL17 memory.

Finally bear in mind Dell cut 2 SODiMM slots in the R2.

Further info in the R2 thread:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/official-alienware-area-51m-r2-owners-lounge.832848/page-89

This benchmark does not include Dell's CL 21 value RAM. They tested differences between great memory 51M users can only dream of if they rely on Dell, and amazing super-duper memory, and sure enough they hit bottlenecks elsewhere, there is only like 10% difference between "worst" (51M user's wet dream) and best.

I know, I was just trying to show that there is no noticeable benefit to gaming or even regular apps from increased RAM speed
