No, its really I think just the sum of drivers, BIOS updates, even the default settings for Nvidia aren't all optimal. I could probably have eked a few more points out on disabling sound entirely, but honestly its so close its negligible.

Well this is interesting.... I downloaded latest Nvidia drivers and after update got a popup about Gsync Monitor discovered , I checked control panel and saw Gsync enabled ( I keep it disabled because I run BIOS 1.5.0 ) .

So Thought well this cant work but ill try it anyway, fired up a game and ….it works with Gsync enabled no flickering black screen …. I then got suspicious and checked HWinfo64 to see if my BIOS had been stealth updated but its still at 1.5.0

So it looks like the latest Nvidia driver has built in Gsync support for this panel. Cool I guess for those that want to use Gsync.

Also on the class action lawsuit investigation front :

BREAKING NEWS: After hearing from many Alienware Area 51m users, we have expanded our class action investigation to also include overheating and performance issues.

I start wonder whether this lawyer only goes for the money and can't see the facts. The consumers (here the owners) will be the losers. The upgrade path scam is one thing but this? Nope.

Could be a bit too heavy handed? Businesses have folded under lawsuits before, which wouldn't be the best outcome for the consumers. On the other hand, the more publicity around this, the better.

I'm not a lawyer, but adding a page in broken English on their support website after the fact is unlikely to provide them with legal immunity.

Remember Intel's specs say 100C. And Nvidia haven't officially released specs for max allowed temp on Mobile graphics. They can put whatever they want.
One of many reasons to never install such bloat/spyware...

    Affected NVIDIA GeForce Experience versions
The security issue impacts Windows computers running versions of NVIDIA GeForce Experience before 3.20.4.

"Earlier software branch releases that support this product are also affected," NVIDIA also explained. "If you are using an earlier branch release, upgrade to the latest branch release."

Great post. Always lots of excuses, no solutions.
Um... probably because he's a lawyer? Loves money and personal gain more than bloodshed in the name of justice?

There are lots and lots of good attorneys... but, the stereotype has been earned by the behaviors of those most notorious in the eyes of the public.
