Can anyone who has a 9900k tell me how they keep it cool? Delid? What thermal paste, clock speed? I am hitting like 90c in bf5 4.7ghz with - 130 undervolt.. Not liking this to much.

I have another 9900k which I delidded and repasted it myself and also I cleaned it ( removed the STIM completely but it works great plus i asked them if as they say the cpu works 100%, they keep it and send me another one untouched same as mine before they ruin it but they refused. I have the delidding tools but I wanted to know how the professionals do this service but believe me I did a much better job than them.

Did you delid it yourself? And is it worth doing? I can't go higher than 4.7ghz..

Yes I did and i see it worthand, I do 5 ghz overlock in AWCC with -100 and temps max at 82. Plus I think not all the CPUs has the same overclocking capability ( could be wrong ).

Yeah, that does look sloppy. Probably had uneven pressure while resealing.
I'd delid it again, remove all the silicon adhesive and not reseal it to see how the temps fair.

I’m happy with the one I did myself and will sell this one to a friend who is interested in it.

From my own experience, you need to delid, lap the die and have a taller copper ihs with increased pressure to tame this thermal inferno of a chip.
