    So my final answer is:
Did anybody upgrade his Area 51m laptop ram ? if yes what exact model did you use that was compatible.
Used to have 2x16GB DDR4 2666mhz (left side of the picture) and wanted to add 2x16GB more (blue - right side of the picture) but it turned out to be incompatible with my system and the bios gave an error on the memory so I had to return it.

Lots of people here voicing stability / reliability concerns. My A51M is solid as a rock, I felt like saying.

The biggest annoyance was having to run Win Server because I flat out refuse to run Win Spyware 10. For my sake, and that of my very sensitive customers. If you know what Win 10 captures - relays, you wouldn't use it for such a kind of customer.

I probably wouldnt' have bought it, if I knew I had to give up Win 7. I bought thinking "oh I'll get around that." Oh how wrong I was.

But the whole thing could be resolved, if someone wrote usb drivers for Z390. Crowd-fund anyone?

As for my Desktop, 6950X is the star, and I much prefer it to my 9900K, when overclocked. And given it can run Win 7, it may be the last Desktop I buy...for many years to come (short of some industry-disruptive technology being launched).

    Night all.

Has anyone tried one of these instead of farting around with two AC adapters? This was much better than using dual adapters with a Clevo. It looks like they have a special adapter for the Area 51M now. I saw a tweet that this is available. Interesting.

    I upgraded my stock 8GB (2x4GB) to 32GB (2x16GB) HyperX DDR4 2666Mhz CL15 ram - HX426S15IB2/16. Been working great and bios downclocks it to 2444Mhz just fine.

If only I still had my 780w PSU. They're kinda pricey with that set-up.

It's great just a little loud as it's not passively cooled like the dell psus. It is very well built but bulky.

Final answer or question? Anyway, the left one is Micron OEM RAM, 16 GB, 2666 MHz. You can find it on ebay, pulled from other laptops.

That would be the cheapest way to get compatible RAM with what you already have. Getting 64GB of some branded non-OEM RAM to replace the 32 GB you already have would be a waste of money as any difference in performance would be negligible.

E.g. from US sellers, otherwise just search for 'Micron so-dimm 2666 16gb' and check that it's the same design on the photo (as there is also some presumably newer one with darker PCB color).

Edit: The prices obviously vary between sellers. I added two cheaper ones I found to the top.
