Lol, my bad. I’m on a 2080 that throttles starting from 1.5.4. Dunno about the 2070.

I’m on the latest bios and do not see any throttling with the 2070. Running the new vbios as well.

Not to burst your bubble but you should go for a desktop machine instead. The list that you have mentioned here doesn't seem to be coming in any laptop as powerful as Area 51m anytime soon. :D
By the way, Keyboard is awesome! I wonder why you are having issues with it. I can easily maintain a nice 150+ wpm on my machine and that tactile bump is quite satisfying. As far as dual bricks go, there is no way around it due to in-flight power limitations for power bricks. And for 10 GbE, I agree. It would have been nice, but I could care less since I have moved on to WiFi 6.0 card on mine.

Regarding your limited video port concern, it'd be actually nice to have multiple high speed mini display ports in the future but I am content with what I have right now. You could try those 144Hz splitters out if you want to connect multiple 144Hz monitors.

So when will the new Alienware DGFF Quadro RTX 6000 graphics card come out and how much will it cost? ;)

I doubt it will be in either the Precision 7740 or Alienware Area 51m. Neither DGFF card has space for a 384-bit memory interface (12 physical chips). It will likely be BGA only unfortunately. It would be great to be proven wrong though!

Yes, desktop seems to be the way to go.

Keyboard may have differing opinions, even though most of the new gaming laptops have spacing between the keys these days.

Maybe I will just wait for alienware to make a 24" laptop with super cooling solution and full sized keyboard. Who really opens up a 51m on an airplane or coffee shop anyway? These are obviously meant to be desktop replacements so might as well make them useful without an external monitor since 17" is pretty much useless for anything more than web browsing and word processing.

I open it daily at starbucks these days to check my e-mail and play some games while downing my latte. No bricks needed. :D

So, you'll wait for AW to make a 24" laptop with a full sized keyboard?

    LOL

    Thanks for the chuckle mate!
