Thank you for the info. I’m a Dell reseller and it’s all I buy for my clients. Out of the last 32 years I’ve been a dell business patterned and reseller I’ve never bought accidental coverage. I was curious as it’s something I’m considering on my next machine. Also have a clumsy doctor client that I might buy it for on his new laptop.

@S.K Is this a common problem with the new 1650 killer Wi-Fi cards? What’s the best intel replacement that will insure that I won’t have this issue. I heard 9260 is good. I don’t have a modem that supports ax.

Thank you for the informations !

So if I add 2 more 8 GB sticks for a total of 4x8 GB (32 GB of RAM) I won't benefit from the dual channel ?

Go with Intel 9560ngw. Solid card and super stable.

Nice. You'll have plenty of fun with this bad boy. ;-)

A repaste and repad is genereally speaking recommended. It's actually quite simple to do, so don't be afraid to try.

If all four of those sticks are of the same sizes and ideally same models, you'll likely not lose the dual channel functionality.

I'll be getting my new system with 2 × 8GB sticks this week, I've another 2 × 8GB sticks with me, I'll try it out and report back.

He asked also if the Ram Dell use is in Single or Dual Rank. You can often get a bit better performance with dual rank sticks. Maybe post what it is.

I expect Dell still follow Intels memory specs outside their main flaws "Not follow Intel's specs for ram speed" (read about Flex Mode).

Dual channel mode for DDR, DDR2, DDR3 and DDR4 (Flex mode)

I've been thus far unable to update to windows 1903. Windows update gives me an error saying “0x80070003 some update files are missing or have problems will try to download the update again later”.

I’ve tried at least 5 times with no luck. Any ideas?

Do you 'need' to update? Can you maybe create a bootable USB and carry out a clean install?

EDIT: Doing the clean install option will wipe any data stored on the OS drive so backup beforehand.
