I just released a video explaining my upgrade process from the i7-9700K to i9-9900K in the Alienware Area 51M. Feedback is welcome! Thanks!

If there was a recall, it is entirely voluntary. There has been nothing formally promulgated via the consumer product safety regulators.

The Area 51m failure rates have not crossed that deminimous threshold where legally mandated recalls have been instituted. Until that occurs, individual buyers will need to pursue relief via their warranties.

So what were you using to OC the laptop? Just the GPU OC tools or MSI Afterburner?

Quick question. When you're focusing on Firestrike score, does CPU matter at all for overall score or is it purely GPU?

Curious as I've been working on getting my 9700k/2070 score up but seem to not get near my highest score even with higher core/memory, which is really odd...

For example my highest score is about 19.3K, this was with about +163/+450ish.. if I run Firestrike with +171/600+ I dont even hit 19k now, but close..

Any tips you can give me? Have a replacement on the way, just trying to see what this machine can do.. hopefully the TDP upgrade for 2060/2070 comes soon.
