Hi Ultra Male, is that AWCC applicable to any new AW machine (ex. can i install it on my m15?) or is it a dedicated one for the m51?

    Thanks

I was looking at compatible processors earlier today. I believe that the i9-9900T is LGA1151 and I believe it is compatible with the Intel Chipset that is in this laptop. (Verify these things for yourself.) But the benefit here: A little less top-end performance (4.5 Ghz Max, but you might be able to overclock it) but it is a 35W TDP processor... that is a LOT less thermal!

That would be 10-20% performance loss (or less if you are able to overclock) for almost 1/3 of the heat being generated. (That performance is being compared to a i7-9700 here: https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i9-9900T-vs-Intel-Core-i7-9700/m821464vsm816180 )

Just wanted to share something I thought was interesting.

So I've been doing some testing and my 9700k runs pretty hot - like 90 + degrees in battlefield 1. When I test it with intelburntest the temps vary significantly and jump within 1 second from 65/70 to 90 then thermal throttle. This is at 4.9 ghz and -0.130v UV. Seems stable at the that voltage but I think these temps are abnormal. Maybe they goobered the thermal paste? Or possible faulty hardware?

Definitely seems high, my 9700K with stock paste from the factory runs 5Ghz -90mv and I have never seen my peak temp go above 83C in any game. Most games it stays in the 70s. Gears 5 which keeps my CPU pegged at about 70 to 85 percent load for hours is also no problem and temps stay below 83C. This is with the balanced fan setting.
