Randon sighting. Visiting Detroit for the day from Ohio and I went to a place call Detroit shipping company and saw some dude gaming on an Area 51m. Struck up a conversation for a bit. Good to see one in the wild. First sighting for me.

I think this is a win/UEFI issues. I think Somehow its hard coded to default to the hybrid if its connected

So...I am thinking I should disconnected the hybrid, boot to the evo and make a recovery flash drive off of the evo, then reinstall windows. I just got the machine, and nothing is installed on it yet.

Question is...is that new install based off my current configuration, or will that work as a totally new clean install? In other words, is there a risk I will be reinstalling an issue because I would be using a recovery drive made after the problem cropped up??

Did you install via Samsung Magician? Is Samsung Magician telling you it's using Microsoft's driver? I'm not booted into Windows right now so I can't see Device Manager, so I can't remember where Samsung NVMExpress driver is shown, but it is not under 'Storage'. It is show farther down the list under something else. Can't remember where. Sorry if I'm telling you something you already know, just thought I would mention these things. You probably have it sorted by now.

I downloaded the installer (.exe) from samsung for the model I have. I do not think it was magician. Ran it (the second time) unblocked (after uninstalling the first attempt which was not unblocked). Checked under disk drives, samsung ssd 2TB nmve, showed micro$h!ts 2006 driver.

Finally ordered mine! Specs are 9700k, RTX 2080, and 144hz Gsync display. I picked the lowest ram and hard drive options because I'll upgrade those myself (8gb ram, 256gb SSD + hybrid HDD).

Got it for what works out to be 3540$ usd with 4 years premium plus included (hardware and accidental) and that's taxes in.

I travel a lot for work every few weeks so the accidental damage warranty was piece of mind for me.
