It is the first time I see this happening on R5. You could always revert back to previous BIOS but of course newest firmware updates remained. At least you could install previous BIOS versions. Now they are blocking this too This is becoming worse and worse.

hello guys, sorry for my English but i have question. I have Alienware 17R5 I78750H and GTX1070 and adapter 240W. I would laike change my adapter on 330W, but i have fear if i will connect adapter 330W my laptop will broken. Who has experiance with this problem? My adapter 240W not good, in case switch on max power after 20 minutes about i see my battery some discharge, i see my laptop want more power from adapter. Who use 17R5 with 330W adapter from dell?
I saw 17R5 with 330W but this alienware has I9 8950H and gtx 1080, my alienware has some lower characteristic.

So, firmware updates remained.Oh my! By the way, is the UV option in AWCC Fusion blocked? If yes, this means they offer a feature that is not working. This is legally unacceptable.

I wouldnt jump into conclusions with just one case im sure there is the way to get everything back we just havent figured it out yet. Regarding AWCC im not sure where youve seen them offering features but OC and UV option available only for overclockable processors.

If you read my whole thread. Others could fix it with Reset to Factory option. Even for the Dell XPS models.
