In a weird way of saying these are one of the best laptops for “future”. The AGA and port is great and can’t be touched by other TB external boxes performance wise. You risk another form factor change with Clevo models. Each dm/dm3/ttg1/req/tbd models or whatever they keep revising to requires new heatsink curtom bios/uefi and some semi hacking wacking knowledge. Just make good friends with Prema if you want to expand each Clevo model beyond what it was designed for. That being said it’s all awesome either way you go.

Only thing I would say, I don't know if these CPU's are going to cause an issue soon...? In that are they powerful enough to handle games for the forseeable future.

I feel like there's games out there already needing 3.5Ghz as recommended spec? Also how soon do we think till we'll need more than 4 cores...?

That's the only concerns I have with my current setup...

I have a AW15 with a 940xm and a 980m playing bf4, bf1 great.... the over hype of real world power needs sometimes gets the best of us wanting new.

That's great to hear! May I follow up with a question of how long you've had your AW and have you had any problem with it? Thank you!

I've had mine for about a year and a half, no problems other than the ones I cause myself! By that I mean stuff like overclocking etc (you can't do it without liquid metal basically...)

Everything has been running great, you really can't go wrong. You're future proofed with the ability to use an Amplifier plus depending on your type of usage you can be sure it'll probably it'll hold up fort a while yet...
