Hi Branzy1987 you test your graphics card with 1050 while I tests with 993. Must have a 330W power supply if I should run a much higher clock frequency of the graphics card. Have reduced screen light to reduce wattage. Using already + 230W under bench tests. But this is going to be good .. The difference in graphics score is so small that I might need only increase a little to get the same graphics score. Unfortunately costs a 330W $ 265 where I live .. http://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/4124793/fs/4146554
Edit. New score in 3dmark11 P9084 and Fire Strike P6098 with 1006/1480.

Hehe.. New OC on my 970M.. +400 core + 575 memory.. Any higher memory clocks are crashing my PSU.. I think it's been weakened a bit.. may need to get a new one soon.. And oh yes, 3940XM @4.3GHz on 4 cores isn't helping :D

TomJGX it's a great score in Fire Strike. Purchase a 330W power supply with good conscience. I must also do the same because I have to turn off the lights almost completely on the screen and all Alien fx light's during the benchmark tests.

Has anyone had any luck pushing an i7 4700MQ? Any higher than 101.5 MHz reference (100MHz default) crashes my system lol

Also, seeing as my GTX770m is standing up quite well to +135 core and +580 memory, I had a question about VBIOS unlock...will the GPU still throttle back on idle?

    1. If you try to oc the cpu you have 99% chances to block your bios, I did 4 times to my sistem and if you check the forum there are a lot of guys that did that two.
    2. It's a good thing that your gpu "throttle" down when it's in idle, because you dont need it to run at full speed when you dont use it, it's the same on cpu, goes back to 800mhz when it's in idle, vbios from slv7 it's verry good, I have it on my gtx 780m, and I had no issue with it and it runs so cool and good performance.

I think no one has gone higher than 101.5 MHz reference clock on an i7 4700MQ .. Overclocking is art as well as trial and error. HaHa. Load Xtu utilities and run Xtu bench test. Here are references (i7-4700mq) you can compare with .. http://hwbot.org/benchmark/xtu/rankings?hardwareTypeId=processor_2839&cores=4#start=0#interval=20

Been running my GTX770m at 967 core and 2604 memory with no issues. I think I'm pretty close to the memory cap...although, so far I have yet to have any artifacting; the driver just stops and resets itself above 2700MHz memory. Temp maxed out at 159(71) F(C)

    New 3DMark Fire Strike score P6360 http://www.3dmark.com/fs/4233421

A quick summation; Now it's just Mr Fox who is in front of my AW17R1 Ranger in 3DMark Fire Strike with all kinds of Hotwell processors and a single gtx780m. And it is only 16 laptops in front of me with all sorts of processors and single gtx780m in 3DMark Fire Strike ranking. Most of the 16's in front of my AW 17 has tested two or more times with the laptop.:D
