There are some tools which can be launched in DOS to check nVidia cards like GPU memory like mats.exe (MODS). It can be a starting point to find out at least where the problem is.
I am not sure where to get a version for pascal chips and I am not sure it works in laptops.

Anyone else have less than 2 hrs battery life now?
I checked in Dell's BIOS diagnostic tool and it looks like my battery health is at 37%

It has a metal U-shaped bar underneath in order to put some backing to the flimsy plastic. Unclip the key cap and spray some WD40 where the bar attaches to the cap.

    So, i stumbled upon a thread here for a 17 r5 heatsink
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/alienware-17-r5-heatsink.830268/

I got in touch with @Striker1234 and he would ask Cicichen if he would design a similar heatsink for the 13 r3. There is a a lot of design work involved, so it´s crucial how many people would be interested in such a heatsink.

Leave a comment or like my post so we can determine if there are enough interested parties.

Then i will get in contact with striker again and keep interested people up to date.

Isn't it better to make it on a vapor chamber base somehow? This would require to integrate heatpipes into it because it must be very thin. Results would be much better, for comparison we can take the clevo P870 heatsinks.
    And is that heatsink lapped?

For the first part, i don´t know.
I think the clevo heatpipes would be to thin in width to transfer enough heat. Lapped? i would think so.
