Is that a screen shot taken in software? (not a cell phone photo or something)

What I'd do is try to find out which video card is rendering that screen. Run a diagnostic test and make sure both video cards are tested. If there's something wrong with the NVIDIA card, I'm wondering if it could cause symptoms like this. Wonder if you could disable the discrete graphics temporarily as a troubleshooting measure.

Think there has to be something off with these ram cards. I think I am going to return them! What do you think C69K? Is this value suppose to be 2666 for each slot? Let me know because I will return it tomorrow! Lol

    @cn555ic

The G.SKILL sas per your screenshot run at advertised speed of @ 2666. Timings are 19-19-19-43 just as with my DELL stock RAM (pic. 1).

If you want lower timings, then I would go with HyperX 2666 and you get guaranteed 15-17-17-35 (a screenshot from thanx @forbyefor_gold_eagle in pic.2).

I do not know what difference lower timings make in real world except for benchmarks and if you game on Intel GPU where I am 100% sure it matters.

I think the point is that I would go HyperX over G.SKLL if the price were pretty much the same, however I doubt you can get 2x8 GB HyperX 2666 kit for 110 USD, maybe second hand as many people are switching to 32 Gigs.

I searched and found new HyperX 2666 2x8 GB kit for lowest 138 EUR (pic 3.) here in The Netherlands.

I personally would pay extra 20-30 EUR for the best performing memory there is for Alienware 13 R3, which currently seems to be 2666 HyperX, especially if I could return G.SKILL sticks without charges and questions asked.

    Thanx for the pictures !!!

The thing is will hyperX give me the extra couple of FPS with lower timings?

I am bumping up from 2133 to 2666. That alone I would think I would notice some change in gaining FPS based on that video you posted of various memory cards

@cn555ic You will get definitely more FPS/fluidity with HyperX's low timings. We are talking 19 vs 15, that is 20% difference. This could get even 5-10% extra performance if the timings are a bottleneck.

The difference could be pretty noticeable.

@cn555ic Thank you for your input !!!!

I am going to buy 2 x 16 Gig HyperX 2666 myself as soon as I see that the stock 2 x 8 gigs are somehow bottlenecking. But, if I invest in 32 Gigs, I want the best there is.

By that time the prices will settle more. I have so far never seen anyone with locked processor (Alienware) to have above 2666 Mhz speed on memory. I have seen various timings @ 2666 Mhz for sure.

The only remaining question I have is:

if I put 2 x 16 Gig HyperX 3200 Mhz kit in my machine, it will most likely downclock to 2666 Mhz. Now, will the timings get lower than 2666's 15-17-17-35 or be at least the same or will they be exactly as their Jedec/PnP values as per their product sheet at 20-22-22-XX at 2666?

I really do not want to end up with 3200 kit running at 2666 with 20-22-22-XX when 60 EUR cheaper 2666 kit runs guaranteed 15-17-17-35 LOL
This case scenario would be worse than having stock DELL memory running @ 2666 19-19-19-43 !!!

Does anyone know/ have experience in this area?

I know that Alienware 13 r3 bios does not support XMP. Does anyone know if Jedec/Pnp value for 3200 (there is only one value) is final or it can get lower if supported by Bios?

EDIT: Am I not _\|/_ smoking enough??? LOL

I just checked and it’s the hyperX 16gb 2666mhz are not found locally in my area and I have to order them. I just hope lower timings will produce better FPS, even if it’s 3-4 FPS is worth it to me!

Its running at 2667MHz specs and you have Samsung B die DRAM chip which has high CAS but performs close to HyperX in every situation. In Dell or Alienware, any new hardware RAM or SSD you need to Reset BIOS to defaults to get optimal performance. I found it accidentally.
