Good morning dear overunderclockvolter enthusiast friends,

I am happy to report that with the new MoBo they gave me (which now has a CMOS battery! Yay!), I was able to achieve very satisfactory results!

    - CPU undervolt -125mV on everything ~40°C in idle, maximum I have seen thus far ~70°C on Rise of the Tomb Raider annnnd roughly 9hrs of battery life with the turbo disabled

    - GPU undervolt to 975mV with a +89MHz core overclock via bumping up the voltage curve as a whole plus a 400MHz memory overclock:
1781pts on Unigine Heaven (as opposed to 1721 with vanilla settings), max temp so far 73°C on Rise of the Tomb Raider (1080p, High-Very High Settings, with only the odd dip below 60FPS)

Thermal paste we used was ample amounts of Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. Magical stuff, really.

    Now I'm done bragging ^///^

    Cheers!
    Tim

What other games do you play? With epp set to 128 your CPU stays 100% turbo during gaming?

Even with EPP at 128 the CPU sits at 3.4GHz most of the time - in games that need it, say Witcher 3. In non-open-world games such as Tomb Raider or Pillars of Eternity 2 it only boosts when needed. I have found that pinning the CPU at max frequency all the time doesn't do all that much except drive up the temps.

Yeah you'll get better temps. You can get framerate dips in games which is very noticeable to me. You can pin it to 3.4 so it doesn't boost to 3.5-3.8 and cause spikes. Depends on the games you play. Do you run rivatuner in the corner of your screen to see what your cpu/gpu frequency and temps are? You get a pretty good idea what's actually happening.

I just received my 13 R3 and I was wondering what program to use to try and undervolt the CPU? I have installed intel XTU but I'm seeing some different programs in the screenshots.

Well, the HDMI port is wired to the video output of the Intel iGPU. I've not noticed this issue when my unit idles when plugged in to my TV. It sounds like a driver issue.

How is the OLED? I still find it mind-blowing after a year !!!

I think you are seeing Throttlestop all over the net. http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/the-throttlestop-guide.531329/
Since first time I tried it I forgot about XTU.

As an example, I use these values, please see pictures.

@Fleischhaus Please can you tell me as per GPU-Z what memory is your GPU? +400 is pretty high overclock. In some games I get artefacts looking like snow, can do only +350. I hope for you that it is Samsung.

Instead of overclocking memory put those at stock and increase core clocks higher and I assume you can do +350MHz on core and memory at stock.
