    Yes, it's more a thing against OCZ, but there is also the formware ont he controller that is important and the FW is custom for OCZ which dis spell trouble when the drive was launched IIRC.

    OCZ was also pretty slow at acknowledging the SF-2281 BSOD issues. Well SF was slow at acknowledging them too though.

    I have had my OCZ V2 for about two years, no issues, I guess I am lucky :)

    Vertex 4: Marvell controller with indilinx firmware. OK customer satisfaction.
    A lot better than Vertex 2 and 3, which was based on Sandforce. They had horrible ratings @ newegg.

    Rumors has it that Seagate is purchasing OCZ too, so I think everything will be just fine in the end.
