These are the cards it has, but wont work:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Nvidia-GeForce-G...3#ht_500wt_949 - (I am not selling those, but those are exactly what is in it.)

    Would this card be compatible?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...#ht_2522wt_932

I have tried baking my daughter card, but that didn't work, so I am looking at other options.

    EDIT:
Or would this work in it?

MOBL-VF17NB8ESE5SLV M17X NVIDIA 8700M-GT 512 VIDEO CARD - I would prefer the quadro card of course.

I also have an E1705 with an ATI Mobility X1400 - It can play L4D 2 OK, but I wanted to get something that could play Crysis 2 multiplayer

I am by no means an expert to the quadro cards so please take what I am saying with a grain of salt. Just as the ebay add reads apparently you can flash the card and viola you have a cheap 280m, ive heard this before but I do not know anyone who has. I DO know that the 280m puts out extreme amounts of heat and I do not think that your lap top can handle such thermal loads. I dont even know if your BIOS would recognize it.

PS I believe the 8700m should work, wasnt that a factory option for your card?

I think it was, but I don't know if that particular card is compatible.

Any other cards that would work in it?

The 8700m is your best bet, the 8800gtx and 9800m gt that came after will be too hot.

Think the 8700m would be able to play crysis 2 multiplayer smoothly?

I havent played Crysis 2 yet, BUT the first Crysis games put a strain on my dual 9800m gt M17x, at only 1280/78? and gamer setteings I only avg 30 fps (barely, if the action got intense it was slow dwon city).

Every other game Ive played and still playing ie New Vegas, Black ops and Tier one the systems owns at max res and settings.

Crysis is a rescourse hog, for example its calculating physx's and the environment in areas you cant see yet,

I think one 8700m might have a hard time, SLI 8700m's might do ok. Again Im only speculating I am no expert by any means on your sytem. Sorry for the long winded post.

Ya, haha, that is your link. Im not even sure if my system will work with a new card, but it seems like that's the problem. Think you could flash my parent card to a daughter card for me? How much would you charge?

Seems like the 7950gtx is the most powerful compatible card.

Do you want me to do it for you or just tell you how? Just so you know, you have to have a working daughter to flash it. If you got a working daughter, you could just use the working parent and use em in SLI.

    That's the thing, I don't have a working parent I can use.
