or that lol. I can still hope . If you match the first few drivers for 650m with the first few drivers for 7750m at stock conditions they match up however nvidia released them sooner so they are a couple of steps ahead... or my card is just slower either way :p

Yep stock 650M GT and 7750M seem to score the same, something like P2200-P2300.

Maybe the 7750M is just not a great overclocker.

    Anyone got Far Cry 3?

I've been fiddling around with the settings. DX11. On Ultra I get around 20fps (not surprising it looks gorgeous!) while Low gives 60fps. No overclock and using 310.64 beta driver. Please bear in mind I have DDR3 version of 650M so all of you with DDR5 will probably fare much better.

Worryingly it pushed GPU temp up to 92 degrees C! I've never seen that temperature before in any other game!

There's no noticeable difference in performance between DX11 and DX9. The settings which affect performance the most are:

MSAA (enabling it takes a heavy hit to framerate, best left off)
SSAO (HDAO most demanding, while HBAO & SSAO give slight boosts to framerate)
Post FX (Ultra/Very High settings are very FPS hungry - scale down to High or Medium for noticeable boost in performance)
Shadows (Ultra/Very High settings are very FPS hungry - scale down to High or Medium for noticeable boost in performance)

All other settings available have relatively little impact on performance compared to those above.

This game still looks very good on Low settings even! Very fun game too! Recommended! :)

To the guy with the issues with TF2 on his 650m.. I have it on my alienware m14x and have the same issue with the source engine.. terrible performance in dx9 mode.. doesnt make any sense that these games only use 20% gpu and 30% cpu

You can probably max out Galaxy on Fire 2 HD with the Integrated GPU.

edit: just tried it at 1920x1080 with just the Intel GPU and it was 40-60 FPS. Seems to have a 60FPS cap. So using the dedicated GPU you should be at solid 60 fps all the time.
