    We always had them, you just couldn't see because it was a bar. I really would like the bar and the titles to return. Pure points is meaningless if you don't have a scale to see it on, and you can't see peoples' rep power anymore.

    This just goes to show you how stupid Nvidia is....

    What I'm surprised at though is that AMD came out with a "competing" system instead of just calling out Nvidia on it.

    I think a big problem is that there are both likes and reputation competing with each other.

    It would be awesome to get G-Sync on notebooks, but I would wait for a little more confirmation first before downloading drivers off a shady website...

    Jeez, why people gotta ad hominem instead of trying to prove/disprove his findings? The Internet sometimes...

    Optimus = no go.
    LVDS = no go.
    3D screen = no go
    eDP with SLI on AW17 clamed as a no go.
    MSI GT72 TN panel clamed as a no go
    Only MSI GT72 IPS and Clevo, both with 9xxM clamed to get GSYNC...

    The best way for author to do would be finish "updated driver" so it would work but what-a-surprice he lost motivation in couple hours after being so ready...

    The only way to finish this case is try it on MSI GT72 IPS and that would solve the problem but my post in GT72 owner's lounge was deleted.

    I have no Optimus. Does it mean I can use G-sync with Alienware 18?

    EDIT: Nobody from the comment field in Gamenab got it to work. Hmm

    I was the guy that posted it working with the MSI GT72. Got many backlash because my account was just registered for 1 day.

    As how crazy it may sound this G-Sync really works and the difference are really noticeable on nvidia pendulum demo. Tried it on BF4 and COD BO2 and the frames were more consistent but not smoother because of screen low 25m response time.

    Though it lags like crazy on Planetary Annihilation.

    I think this hack only work with laptop with LG IPS screen. I would like to see this tested on ASUS G751 laptop, I think it works there too.

    I have
    Thats cool. I have Samsung PLS and will try when I get home :)

    BTW, when you say lag, do you mean crazy noticable stuttering? You didnt see that on BF4 and COD right? You should make a before/after video using Shadowplay

    This is from your notebook right?

    Yeah, that picture is from my notebook. I posted that on overclockers forum.

    The lag as what you said is indeed stuttering like crazyon planetary annihilation.
    On BF4 and COD theres no stutter, it works fine there. Though when FPS drops to 10-30, I start to get black flickering. The lower fps the more frequent it happens.
    Some one said that some one reported the same thing on crysis on some forum.

    Seems to work on Asus G751 980m, found it on reddit.

    I suspect it's only working with LG IPS display laptop.

    Tested on skyrim and it works there too, though again theres noticeable flickering when fps reach 20-30fps.
