    I installed Windows 7 Profressional and tried out everything (don't know if the problem existed with the preinstalled Win7 Home). I turned off Windows-Controls and the sound was not struggeling anymore. But now the presets from beats don't work anymore. The equalizer is dead. It only works, if the Windows-Controls are enabled :(
    But I can live with that...except there is a cure somewhere.

    But to mention: With headset everything is ok, even if WIndows controls the audio...

    Besides that and the relatively loud fans the notebook is great.

    Just to mention: To test the sound again, I put the original HDD back in (I exchanged it with an SSD). The sound was good and presets were working.

    So my conclusion: It has to do with software / drivers. Thank god. I don't have to return it.

    I ran some "tests" with different Notebooks. Sorry, it's German :p

    Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but just wanted to let fellow owners that I upgraded to W10 with no problems or issues. Everything works perfectly. Next step is going to be a clean install which should prove more difficult!
