Nope. I have the SSD in there now and I can tell you the fan noise is there! Same as with the HDD in there.

Someone in central Europe chimed in a few pages back to let us know that he rang HP in his country and they said Europe might not be getting the 15 at all. The rep he spoke to said something along the lines of waiting for an Envy 14 refresh instead.

If the UK is going by the Europe standard as they usually do, we probably won't get the 15 3xxx. I say do what I did and get a friend over in the US to order it for you and then ship to your address!

They have a 33% sale coupon too; saves a lot of money rather than buying over here anyway.

That is not accurate. Simply having RST installed does NOT automatically mean you are running in a RAID configuration.

But this means we can setup RAID? Are we stuck with software RAID for now?

No it does not mean you can set up hardware raid.

Hardware Raid needs to be configured using BIOS or UEFI.

As of today, I can find no way to do this in a Gen3 Envy. The only current solution I see is to use Windows SW RAID. HP needs to release a BIOS update.

    Just some quick thoughts:

Fan noise is minimal. It's less than my past HP DV6, and my Malibal Lotus P151HM1. Only odd thing is this startup noise from the DVD/Bluray player, but it's not horrible at all, and I think it's normal.

As you can see from that link, the fan noise is also minimal, what you hear is easily double what you would in regular use.

I love the metal build and soft finish on the keys. The screen is bright and clear, and I did the Red test with pain, it comes out with a fine red on my screen.

Just wondering, but if Loading could re-post his settings for the beats audio, that would be great. Also, is there any way to disable the touch-pad sensing anything on the buttons? When using it, I almost always also have one finger on the left click, so whenever I move it, it thinks I'm zooming in/out. If anyone can help with this, that would be great, and other than that, I'm loving this thing. :D

Thanks for clearing that up... something needs to be done regarding the fan noise issue though. I might jump ship to Samsung series 7 or be contained with my Thinkpad T400.
