    i would like to join as well:) whats virtualbox? and also i was wondering about something i have a lot of old games on cd: need for speed high stakes, hot pursuit, who wants to be a millionare, monopoly etc. but i have a vista 64 bit machine is there anyway to get the games to work?

    Try you games, if they work they work.

    VirtualBox is a program to emulate a PC in your PC and allows you to install an OS on it. This is great if you wanna emulate say a 16 bit OS on a 64 bit machine. Only real down side thus far, no graphics acceleration, then again I haven't had to look to hard yet (wanted to see Ubuntu pretty effects). I'm going to install Windows ME on my notebook in a virtualbox to play around with older programs on the weekend.

    i have tried it and it hasnt worked at all it gives me an error saying the install isnt 64 bit compatible so i was wondering is there a way around it?

    There is a 64bit install (amd64), that's the one I use.

    What he is saying is that the install software that you tried is probably not the 64-bit one. The 64-bit virtualbox installer is the one that you should use. The description for the file should say for amd64 compatible.

    and this will let me play my 32 bit install games?

    Yep , its just 64bit version of the VirtualBox and there is no big difference between the 32bit or 64bit versions. Both should allow you to install Windows XP, thru which you can play non-3d 32bit Games

    Non 3-D being the operative word. Digging around for my old copy of Windows ME, can't seem to find it.
