Ive been hearing all these people getting viruses and whatnot, but my nod32 isnt detecting any of them. Can someone send me a safe virus so I can scan it with NOD32 and see if it will detect it?

    Thanks

Personally, I don't think you should bother. Your AV is probably protecting you and you're not being notified because of your settings - or you've just been lucky or surfing safely. NOD is excellent and many folks here at NBR swear by it. There aren't many AV apps as good as NOD, let alone better (that from a guy who uses Kaspersky LOL).

BTW, don't wish for viruses; that's just too strange. My opinion - be glad you use such a good program.

Your not getting/detecting viruses doesn't mean your AV isn't working.
It usually means you are safer/smarter than those people getting viruses.
    NOD32 is a good program.

Getting infected by a virus is not a common thing, until recently I even used to run without real time virus protection but never got infected.

NOD32 is one of the best, so don't worry about it.

Listen to the people. It's like saying because you don't have AIDS it doesn't exist.

Well, I don't run a anti virus or anything in the background - follow safe web practices, and you wouldn't have to either!

I have NOD32 as well, and I believe it's flawless just about. It's been recommended by some of the biggest names in the tech industry and after seeing benchmarks of all the top anti viruses compared by success rate, NOD32 is 1st / 2nd, it seems to always be neck and neck with this other one, sorry the name slips my mind at the moment.

98% success rate.. so you're damn well safe.

And you don't want a virus, just to 'test' your machine. Because once you get a virus, the only way to know it's 100% gone is to reformat, true well known fact, ask any security expert, not a self claimed expert, I mean a REAL expert.

You gotta be doing something right!

I feel ya though bro, I wonder sometimes when I scan with defender..never finds nothing.. I remember on XP it never found anything but my other packages did.. It's a MS product now so god knows how badly it is..

I'm foolish enough to put my computers malicious software protection in Microsofts hands, so I deserve something bad.

The best in terms of detection is Kaspersky. NOD32 is around on par with it (taking into consideration that it mostly relies on heuristic detection).
But it is possible that you don't have a virus.

Wait. WHAT?! What does that have to do with NOD32?
