No Backlight on LED screen

    thank you for replying so i guess it is that small one because it has an N on it just like the one above posted by blustech so all i have to do is replace it right

    If you can, then replace it. Otherwise, just cross or bridge it (short circuit it).

    You will need a soldering iron with small tip. Home Depot or Radio Shack has it.
    The fuse is really tiny, so practice first before you work on your laptop to prevent from damaging the board.
    Since the fuse is blown, you can remove it if you are able to do it. Then, connect two pads with soldering lead.
    If you feel uncomfortable, hire somebody to do it for you with a small pay.

    Thank you for all your help i finally got it working by removing it and doing just as you suggested finally after a long time thank you once again

    hi
    i have sony vpcca2z0e problem is i dont have image at all on display not just backlight is not workiing but no image at all. although its working fine on ext. screen. As the sony is very fussy on screens i tried different screens as well.

    Ive been searchin for schematics all over but no one have them yet.

    may be here some 1 have some ideas what cud be wrong.

    P.S. I tried to replace NUVOTON NPCE791LA0DX IC CHIP but that didnt help either.

    Can anyone tell me where the fuse is on mine? It is a PCG-61611l (VPCee31fx). Here are the pics of the board. I'm thinking it may be the N on mine also, but not sure. This underside picture is directly underneath the LCD connector. Thanks

    The fuse is on the other side of LCD connector.
    See attached picture. I circled it with red.

    Have you tried a different cable?
    What's actually happened to your laptop that made the LCD failed?

    Worked like a charm. Just left the fuse in, soddred the 2 sides together and cha ching. Backlight lit right up when I turned it back on. Thanks for the confirmation.
