Sure seems like Nissan is starting to put some work into their vehicles, for years it seems they haven't done any improvements or anything.

I don't just mean with engines they made, but also how they are threatening to put diesels in their trucks.

I mean that's just a deal they've worked out with Cummins to put turbodiesels. The VK56DE just wasn't very efficient, in terms of power delivery and fuel economy.

Yes but making a deal is alot more than they've done for a while. The Titan has been the same for 11 years now.. As far as I can tell their whole company has been pretty much stagnant for that long as well. In that time I haven't had any interest in any vehicle produced by them.

Well I thought you meant in terms of actually innovating something (though Nissan does have turbodiesels in their non US areas). I don't count contracting someone supplying you an engine. :p

The 2014 Nismo series is going to be pretty cool. Here's a Nismo Sentra:

Don't even mention Nissan Sentra. I drove a 2012 Sentra base model CVT yesterday as a rental when the Subaru dealership was installing some options for me, it SUCKS.

The nismo sentra ditches the cvt for 6spd manual. Engine is borrowed from juke nismo which is a turbo i4 with 240hp (up from 130 on what you drove). Still fwd though. Seats and roofliner are upgraded. .. not sure about dash.

    Flown in by carrier pigeon.
