I get why they dont use DT cpu's anymore. Its a support nightmare, people start to mess with delidding, try new gen cpu's while they are not fully supported by the laptop cooling measurements and dimensions etc. Next to that out of the box laptops dont have that great thermal performance as well when they use a DT cpu. It's small companies that offer it with delidded CPU's and liquid methal paste that have decent cooling. Also Intel doesnt offer any support on those so a company with the size of Alienware would be screwed if something really goes wrong, for example a manufacturing's error etc.

I just hope they keep the current sizing, for me personally a good balance between performance and portability. The AW15R2 is one of my favorite laptops when it comes to portability, the new 15 is a tad bigger unfortunately but it does look well designed.

What I want to see changed in the industry as a whole are batteries that can survive more cycles and degrade less over time and better QC in general. I can find flaws with pretty much any laptop maker out there.

Yeah 2 usb ports are just too few, I connect a mouse and Xbox wireless controller and that's it.. theres the USB C and Lighthing port.. but I rarely use them really.. there should be 2 more usb ports on the back at least

I myself switched pretty quickly. My phone for example uses USB C. my switch etc so where I can I switch to USB C. Only my mouse and X360 controller are USB. I recommend doing the same. USB C ports wear out far less quickly.

Ideally I'd like to see 3 USB and 2-3 USB-C. I use the usb C ports for my phone and if I run out of regular USB ports I use a converter sometimes. But yeah there should be more ports.

Two of each isn't enough, especially if you use a wireless mouse half the time, leaving you with only 1 regular USB for everything else. I can't wait till USB-C is the standard for most electronics

I have a USB 3.0 hub that I use for my mouse, keyboard and external HDD. It's nice because whenever I get home I just pop my laptop on the stand and plug in the Hub and am ready to go. I agree though, we could definitely use more ports (even though it already has many). On the 13 there's only room on the right side to add some more but I think the 15 and 17 can definitely have way more ports.

And while they're at it, can they also increase the size of the trackpad and make it bigger? Even on the AW 13 it's pretty small and the 15 and 17 use the same trackpad.

Aaaand, maybe get them to make these damn bezels smaller? Even my old XPS 15 l502x has smaller bezels than my AW13R3. I don't think I've come across any laptop these days with bezels so damn big. They could've easily fit a 14" panel in that space.

    two is enough

you aren't playing within the perfect constraint that dell/ayylmaoware gave you
