    could it be that the next chips will be coming to AW thats why they are clearing the current stocks? This part of Asia does not have the i7-7820HK CPUs yet

    There is no difference between the 7th gen and the 8th gen mobile at least not yet. My guess is we will see a new gen using Vega using the new embedded process sometime for the back to school period in July.

    Only info anyone has is were being told to watch CES and PAX events for announcements. Aside from that everything is pretty much speculation.

    The 980m is a little bit slower than a 1060. The 1070 is quite a bit faster. But i expect new gpus this year so i would wait anyway.

    Exactly right. The 1070, even mobile, is considerably better than the previous 980m. The mobile 1070 is more akin to the 980 Ti desktop! (http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-980-Ti-vs-GeForce-GTX-1070-Mobile)
    The new Pascal cards were leaps and bounds above their previous counterparts.
