My brother works in cryptosecurity and says the best passwords to defend against professional intrusion are based on a long string of multiple dictionary words.

It is generally easier to remember than alphanumeric gibberish (which is contrary to how our language based memory naturally works, but not intimidating to machine algorithms) and the longer it gets as you string more words together, the exponentially more resistant to brute forcing it becomes

My bother: a middle aged family member who is a wage slave with nothing in their life except a one bedroom apartment, an 60+ hour work week, netflix, and online shopping, dared to lecture us on responsibility and criticise us for not having our sons birthday party completely prepped when she turned up to our place (3hrs in advance) when we've been stupidly busy with all kinds of stuff all week, and running our business, and all of 2hrs sleep since the poor kid had to have sinus congestion and ear pain for the first time in forever this morning - the first time ever we actually gave him pharmaceutical pain relief.

When she was the one who decided to order a box full of star wars paraphernalia without the courtesy of asking us and demanded the room be adorned with it!

I assure you, the physics are very real.
If you don't believe me, try hitting your head with a brick. You will feel the power of physics.

You should listen to the advice of this guy. Never use "password" as password. Or "guest."

Those are the best. apssword is way more secure than most people realize. There was a router in my apartment that I set the admin login to 'password' and the password to 'admin' and even with the words written on a sticky note, no one managed to log in.

And also, the number of passwords gained through social engineering rather than brute force means that since you're more likely to write down a password you can't remember you're just as insecure with it.
