BIOS corruption due to static, something happening in shipping, you never know.

As in the vBIOS on the card, right? Because I'm able to boot into Windows with my old card installed still.

Yes, talking about the card itself.

    Sup guys,

Just wondering if anyone here tried to upgrade the P151EM with the 1070? I´ve tried it myself everything stock and it's working.

P151 shares the same motherboard with the p150em and p170em so what's true for one will be true for yours too

I have an MSI GTX 1070 card for my Clevo P157SM. BIOS is Prema 1.03.04 v2, BIOS setup says EC is version 1.03.01 (the Prema BIOS files seem to indicate it flashed an EC so this 1.03.01 may be from that folder), Standard 180W power brick. When I insert the new 1070 into my computer, the fans go on full blast and it starts loudly beeping repeatedly. I think this may potentially be resolved if I upgraded the EC.

UPDATE : Ok, EC issues seem resolved. Re-installed Windows in UEFI mode, booting in UEFI mode. Card is not detected by the system at all. In BIOS: Chipset --> dGPU --> Not detected. In Windows Device Manager, no trace of it. Sigh.

Hi, i've sucsessfully upgraded my 177sma with 1060 mxm 3.0b card from ebay , no phisical modification needed, only the inf files . I think the 1070 3.0b will fit . Be carefull with te cooling , my 1060 GPU runs in turbo mode at 1900mhz few times 2000mhz .80-85C auto fans. The 1070 have more tdp.
