Good to know. I'll try that out soon. If I'm able to boot with safe mode, what do I do from there? Just restart and try and boot normally?

It just means the card has a vBios that isn't compatible.

So, I tried to get into safe mode and it wouldn't trigger. I also tried to load a USB with a Windows ISO in order to see if I just needed to reinstall Windows with the new GPU, but I couldn't boot into that drive either. Any ideas, or do you think upgrading to this GPU is a moot point?

Looks like a firmware issue then as the gpu drivers are not loaded yet.

something seems off. Did the EC and bios flash work ?
AFAIK P177SM shouldn't have an issue getting into windows with this card, and its been tested.
I will check a few sources (again, I do not personally have this laptop, so I'm not relying on first hand info for this, so let me see what I can dig up, but I'll figure it out with you)

Should I reinstall the 770M, delete the drivers I'm using for that, then modify the .inf file for the 1060N and install those drivers?

You can try but it does seem early for drivers to be the issue

Oh, I misunderstood you then. What would you suggest I try next? EUROCOM said that the BIOS and EC versions 1.05.01 they gave me would make this card compatible.

It might point to a bad card, but maybe see if you can install windows trail onto some spare media?
