Where did you get the premamod bios(prema's official website doesn't work)? Is it necessary to run 10series?

Would the 1060 or 1070 work on my old and aging p170sm ond would it need a vbios upgrade?

What heatsink would I need (or modifications)?

    What about bios?

    Many thanks!

Heatsink modifications IIRC but otherwise getting a card like pictured earlier should work.

You will need to use modified drivers (laptopvideo2go is a good source).

1060 likely, but need more info about the heatsink modifications required and how to source what it requires.

Also would the 1060 need vbios flashing?
I'd rather purchase from recommended seller and all it is required software included.

No Vbios flashing needed. I don't have exact details but usually sticking points are round inductors as the tallest elements.
