    Hi all,

Has anyone heard of Nvidia releasing a new(?) 1070 & 1080 that can be housed in a slimmer chassis and hold cooler temps?

I have heard an unverified rumour about this and just wondered if anyone else had heard anything.

    Cheers.

Highly unlikely - thinner chips wouldn't mean anything - they still draw power and push out serious heat - a thin 1070/1080 is simply not possible.

Considering we haven't heard anything about this for several months - safe to say it was a prototype that they couldn't get working or a simple hoax - the lowest you can get a 1080 is around 110-115W IIRC and that results in performance worse than 1070s (check Razer Blade Pro)
