Just wanted to add on that my razer blade pro came with a samsung PM961.
    Not a PM951.

Notebookreview said theirs came with a PM951. So, i guess mine is slightly newer.

@sashimi101 doesn't changing the HDD void the warranty?

Hey @sashimi101 :) glad yours came with the better SSD. Can you confirm that with certainty, and let people know where/when you bought it from, etc. . so people are more aware of their options? :)

    Cheers

Yes, i can confirm i got a PM961 with 100% certainty. I bought it on black friday from razer's website. Its still at the sale price right now.

For warranty, you can refer to what Razer has to say about it from their FAQs.
    http://support.razerzone.com/gaming-laptops/razer-blade-pro-fhd/
The gist is that they did not say definitively that it voids the warranty.

I just received mine and got the PM 961 too. Bought directly from Razer's website with the $400 discount.

First impressions good; shipping was more than prompt with FedEx, sufficient and well packaged, everything is working as it should; battery, ac adapter, display, keyboard, ports that i'm currently plugged in so far, and the software is as per what it should be.

But definitely give it a thumbs up so far in terms of the product quality; as for customer service, definitely room for improvement but ain't horrible as some make it to be.

Gonna be trying out Ghost Recon in a min...
Update: gaming experience well worth it. smooth and realistic experience. material quality still feels "almost there but not yet".
There's definitely the fan taking off like a "jet" feeling. However, only when under stress while gaming or rendering. Probably would do better with headphones. But with such rendering quality, speed, and control, a fan takeoff is probably justified.

Half a decade into the product line, it seems there's now a reason not MBP.
*The chassis paint, especially where my palm rests is "still not quite there yet". Keyboard feel is good but can be improved. Also where the material feel is concerned.

To all the RBP FHD model owners out there. Have any of you guys noticed/heard of the QC issues that are plaguing the Blade 14" models present in the RBP FHD version? I'm just worried that this thing will break down couple months down the line due to some crappy motherboard/power adapter issues that seems to be a problem in many of the blades.

I have not had any problems with mine yet. Only had minor light bleed on the right hand side which is not noticeable. About 1 month in.

Rise of the tomb raider temps for my unit are:
CPU: 60 to 70 degrees Celsius
GPU: 70 to 80 degrees Celsius

Given the number of notebooks sold per model offered by the different manufacturers; Dell Alienware, or MSI, such QC issues abound; QC issues are not unique to Razer. I'm currently typing this from my RBP FHD 1060 and can say that the level of confidence that it can last the next several years running full tilt, playing heavy graphics games, and fulfilling everyday practical needs, is achieved. Can the build quality be improved upon? Defnitely, it is not as well shaved and rounded as a Macbook but i think it got it within closing range. Given the stats offered and the thin physical profile, i don't think OCing or heavy benchmarking was ever in mind for such a product. There are certain designs meant for running things really hot and there are those that are not. The RBP FHD is the latter.

Is this the best value laptop for its offered stats? Certainly not.
Is this a stunning, unique product? Yes, i think so. The 1080p 120hz, powered by the 1060GTX is beautifully balanced given the thermal output and ability to play GRW at high with 60-80FPS consistently.

not sure but 10 dead cpus here this week on 2016-2017 models. cpu fuses blowing due to spikes on the one phase rail of cpu controller, sometimes taking out the inductor with it on that phase(seen some black ones). sometimes can repair it, sometimes cpu is dead from the assumed said spike
