Yes, you said it fixed only throttling temp value nothing else. Did you forget to reboot?

ah, no no. I used a different mod for my card from techinferno, which unlocked everything. I have restarted every time after the flashing process...also used nvidia inspector and so far all good. I was able to push:
    base clock to 440mhz+
    memory clock 730mhz+
with core voltage as well 1.2v

*This for my CLEVO P651SE GTX 970M 3 GB model which has a power brick 180W and good cooling , in full load 80 C when overclocked to maximum.

Good day, Prema, using your modded VBIOS for Alienware 15 R2 GTX 980M 8GB i`ve found, that stable clocks are 1405/270h @ 1.175V, but latest drivers do reset of overclock every few minutes, could you provide custom VBIOS for that clocks?

Use nvidia inspector to create your OC values as a shortcut and clicking on shortcut will activate your stable OC values.

After 10-15 minutes driver resets overclock values to default. This is the meaning to flash this values to BIOS

You need to over volt the sustain the clock speed. Use gpu-z and click Advanced Tab then Nvidia BIOS.

I think you need to decrease core clocks by 30MHz and increase memory to 300MHz at the same voltage offset of 87.5mV
