    Hey all,

I'm looking very seriously at pre-ordering a Gigabyte Aorus 15G. 1TB SSD, 32GB RAM, i7-10870H, RTX 3080, Win10 Home. Pre-order pricing is $2499 CAD. The only hesitation I have is I'm wondering how long it'll take for that to actually be available and arrive. Any opinions out there?

It may be a month until these laptops start coming out, and it may be even longer until they can ship out in "larger" numbers. I would personally wait for 11th gen mobile chips if you go down the intel route, but I would also look into getting and AMD based laptop as they seem like they will trump 11th gen intel chips. If you insist on buying it now, do so now so that you can get it ASAP. A few other guys that reply may have different views, but take everything they say and what I say and make a decision based off said information.

How about waiting for reviews to start coming out in the next 2-4 weeks? Just because you can order something doesn't mean that it will actually be available in a reasonable amount of time.

Can you link to somewhere selling this laptop? I see similar models, but none with those exact specs.

    I see one with a 3080 Max-Q, but it has a 10875H, not a 10870H. It's $1,999 here. I also see one with a i9-10980HK, but it has a 4K OLED display and is far more expensive.

I have access to a 'COVID loan' until the end of March, so I'm looking to make my purchase prior to that. So I guess I have a little more time...thanks!
