There's a new interface for testing bandwidth similar to that of Ookla speedtest dot net.

You should compare your results with other speed tests like DSLReports

Running the ping command to test your network is also something you should consider.

In v2.0.2351.0 you can now choose from a drop down list of host servers in your area.

This new version is working well for me on the GA Windows 10 Pro X64 and Windows Insider 19H1 build 18317 on the fast ring.

Does this work with the 1535/E2500 or is it strictly for the 1550 and newer cards?

The only requirement I see on the Beta Support Page is Window 10 x64 build 1803 or newer but IMO you should be running 1809 for best results.

    I don't have a 1535 to test or I'd test it.

You'll probably need to agree to some terms of use before getting the download links.

If you already have a v2 installed you will only need to use the beta Microsoft Store App Package to update the version. This is not available directly from the MS Store.

If a previous v2 KCC is running quit the program and then run the app>restart>test bandwidth>set priorities.

What @Vasudev said is correct but, to expand on that, while only the E3000 and 1550 can use the new interface for the Killer Control Center, the service, which does all of the work, is still updated for all supported adapters. Only the user interface is different.

Regarding the new look to the speed test, the only difference is the interface. We have always used Ookla's speedtest.net API. However, we will soon be changing to a different service, as Ookla's API has been doing some strange things, such as connecting people in Canada to Ghana for their nearest server.

Does Speedtest API use Geofencing feature of Win 10?

No, it only uses server-based API location, but even just going off of an IPV6 for geolocating will give a location that is within 5 miles or so.
