Please share more info about the new laptops if you can find anything about the new laptops (the real announcement should be 9PM seattle time)

    1. First news: Nvidia confirms there will be a 15 inch alienware with the new nvidia 10 series GPU

    2. This video just surfaced. The new alienware laptops will feature Tobii's Eye-Tracking system

    3. This is a little old but I thought I'd add it to this post, The new logo underneath the screen, you can also see it slightly on the video linked above

So this new feature basically uses more cpu cycles for something pointless when the laptop is already limited to 45W?

I might be wrong, but I think it's more like an extra input device on your laptop, not required to be used at any given time. It would be Very stupid if it's something that is constantly running. But of course there is the question of how pointless it is for you as a person buying the laptop, and how much does it add to the price. And who knows, perhaps it's something you can add or not on your laptop when choosing its specs

@Papusan and @Mr. Fox sure are going to have a lot of a good time hearing about this.

And everyone is head over toes (on the provided links) for something that has no GPU announced, no specs, and just has Alienware label on it.

I'm not a hater of them, but really, nowadays they're just mid end laptops at most. or rather, enthusiast needs cannot be satisfied with BGA nor with soldered GPUs, and even if they make sockets, if it's going to be for 6700hq instead of 6700K, I don't see why they make it. The CPUs will be impossible to sell after one updates...

Why can't all companies just go back to making powerhouses instead? I mean, a thin laptop won't be able to cool 1080 either way, why not make it socketed and beef it up to the sky? :D

Eye tracking interprets natural human behavior which helps us to gain deep insights into people's attention and actions!!
