    I need help.

    Questions:

Is it a hard fact that the only difference between these two models is the GPU? Nothing else has been changed? Not even a tweak to make the hinges maybe stiffer?

How is that possible? Are the dimensions of the 2 different GPU's exactly the same?

If I purchase the AERO15 (gtc 1060), are these laptops, "upgradable?" could I for instance remove the 1060 and install the 1070maxq at a later date with no problem should it drop in price?

Can anyone tell me a good reason to buy the Aero X over the the non-X?

I can afford both, but would rather not spend the extra dough, and maybe spend it on some faster RAM?

Is the RAM easily upgradable inside this box? I guess "accessible" would be the better term.

    Please advise.

And nice to meet everyone, excited to join the forum, and will soon be the owner of one or the other of these machines.

    Thanks!

The GPU is soldered to the motherboard and not upgradeable. I would also advise against spending more on faster RAM, there are few real world scenarios where this will realize a noticeable benefit.

Nothing else changed. AFAIK You'll get a NVME drive with the 15X vs SATAIII with the 15 as standard.

Agree with the above. I decided to do the 15x as the difference between the 1060 max-q and the 1070 max-q is around a 30% bump in gaming performance. You can always upgrade the ram later on when 16gb becomes the minimum.

The Keyboard is updatet in the 15X.
