Interesting reading in this thread. I'm confused on the potential issues putting a GTX 1070 in a 17" chassis, I have a slim 15" aorus with a full fat GTX 1070, no throttling. I see no reason why MSI cannot achieve the same.

It might not be a message of whether they can do it, but if they can do it right. There could always be issues in pre-production they need to work out before they want to start shipping out a product.

The GS63 is much thinner than the Aorus.

Don't even start on f**king Razer and their crap. The 1070 GS63VR is meant to be a niche ultraportable - Razer's products are designed horrendously, and are really overpriced and p*ss poor. I know people who have stupidly bought Razer products and then regretted not listening to my advice.

Not trying to offend you, just giving my opinion on Razer.

New GS series is super thin and MSI just want to be 100% sure there won't be problems. MSI did it right on all of their 10X series GPU laptops and I am sure they want the GS series with 1070 to be the same quality and no issues for the long run.

I'm okay with a noisy computer when I'm using it! As long as it's not loud when it's not needing to be then I'm fine.
