They could at least rename it. That's going to be confusing when comparing systems.

Yeah, it will be. But I guess it will be like some other nVidia cards - a full-fat version and a gimped version masquerading under the same name.

Would it be possible that the upgrade to a GTX 1070 is incorrect and instead will be a GTX 1060 TI? That would make more sense..

    Just my speculation.

Could anyone verify if the new 120hz panels will have gsync on the gs73?

    https://kr.msi.com/Laptop/GS73VR-7RG-Stealth-Pro.html#hero-overview

This is the only site that I can find the GS73VR 7RG listed on and it looks like it will have the same 120Hz/5ms panel as the other versions have. No GSync listed either...

No GSync and lower TDP 1070 just doesn't sound appealing to me at this point despite the slim form factor.

Usually those are listed by VRAM like GTX XXX (YGB) and GTX XXX (ZGB), I was hoping they would just label it with an "M" and call it a day.

The silly thing is that we don't know whether they will give any differentiating factors in the naming. I hope you are correct, though.

I sort of doubt that since it might cause even more confusion (would be the wrong name for the actual chip even if the TDP is reflected in the model name), but at this point there's really nothing they could do that wouldn't be at least a little confusing.
