    Thanks for the help!

I saved the event log from the last 2 times it happened, in both cases I got "Wake Source: Unknown" :/
running "powercfg /devicequery wake_armed" returne "NONE", so no luck there as well.

    Any other ideas?

As Eason pointed out, try to disable Cortona if you don't use it.

I also found that the Automatic Maintenance service is able to wake up the laptop if necessary; check the associated settings (under Control Panel > System and security > Security and maintenance).

Any other wake timers or devices you know of that haven't been disabled? It could be the system synchronizing with the hardware clock (which can be disabled via command line, though I forget the parameters).

Upgraded to Windows 10 yesterday. I noticed fans start kicking in during startup (they gradually go up to max). They go back to normal speed when "Welcome" screen appears.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes it seems to happen when you wake up from hibernation (or similarly if you have Fast Startup enabled and start the laptop).

Discovered my first windows 10 bug: no programs or even windows will update. Might have to do a clean install.

I happen to have the original sleeve from Gigabyte that came with my P34W V3 (that I sold lately) - would you be interested in that one ?

    Hi,

On which games does it happen?

Depending on the game, having your My Documents directory (which includes some game files) on the second hard drive is also likely to produce these hiccups.
