    Hey guys.

I am contemplating on buying the P25W but as I was reading through the posts it seems that it has its issues that is discouraging me from getting one. I was wondering whether the issues such as the clicking, graphics card problems etc. are present in most of the units or just the odd ones?

I was also looking at the 15.6" Vortex IV as another option from pcspecialist.

Any suggestions that might help my decision whether to buy the P25W or suggestions for a different one with similar specs?

not had any issues with mine. enjoying it.

I do get the odd click, but it's nothing to worry about

Thanks. I was also looking at the Clevo P150SM but based on what I heard it has fan / heat issues thus I am still inclined to get the P25W.

I do want to make the right decision as I am not planning on getting another one for like 4 years.

Overall the P25W sounds good however I am just worried about the wifi connectivity.

So...I managed to get my laptop replaced with a brand new one....but what are the chances that the new one has the same type of graphics glitch when playing games? Because it's still occurring. The only component that I did not replace was the power adapter (yes silly me, why didn't I just replace it anyway?). Could a faulty power adapter (which charges the laptop perfectly fine) cause graphical glitches in games? Because so far I haven't observed any of the glitches in-game when my laptop is running on battery.

You only read about the bad apples online...
So don't let those reports discourage you.

My P25W has been working pretty darn well for the past 2 months, no complaints besides that it does blue screen atleast 1-2 times a week. (Only when starting up a game, or shutting down)

I also want to confirm that this laptop does Infact make a click noise, it's faint and rare in my machine; the last time I've heard it was during finals so about a month ago.

However I do want to suggest that if your sole purpose is to game, please do not buy a laptop if you have to. A desktop will be much cheaper and will perform better. Gaming on laptops sucks hardcore and you pay a premium for it.

    @sumiru
There could be a million different things that could of have caused that...
(When you plug in the power cable, the PC could be over volting the GPU, overclocking automatically...)
I doubt it's the charging cable, as if it was bad it would A. Not charge your PC B. Break your PC beyond repair.

Thanks for the reply. I'm just really frustrated with this problem because initially Gigabyte technician suggested it was a hardware issue and suggested I get the entire laptop replaced. But the fact the issue persists on a brand new laptop is giving me a headache. It's a relatively minor graphical glitch but does get annoying when you're gaming.

I'm hesitant to take my laptop back to the Gigabyte support centre because this graphical glitch occurs at an unpredictable frequency (i.e. game could run fine for 15-20 minutes and then finally glitch once; may glitch 1-3 times within a 3 minute time period). With my previous P25W, the Gigabyte technician told me he doesn't have the time to be staring at a computer screen all day just to identify the glitches. I'm not sure what they'll say when I bring this laptop to them with the exact same issue. Looks like there are a couple of P25W owners experiencing similar problems - really wish Gigabyte would address this problem. (One report pretty much identical to mine - glitch seems to happen the most when laptop is plugged in; he says the glitch happens on battery at a much lower frequency. I cannot confirm the glitch does not occur on battery for my laptop either since I haven't tested enough on battery.)

I am welcome to any advice/suggestions that may remedy this issue. (Just to clarify, the graphical glitch is usually a white horizontal line or bar that flickers; more uncommonly the screen flickers black for 1 second before returning to normal again.)

I am curious about your view of quality because I would call 2 blue screens a week unacceptable. I haven't seen blue screens but maybe once a year and it's usually due to a beta driver I roll back.

The laptop isn't bad it's the software I'm running that is causing them.
I'm using a beta iPhone PC mouse app, and trying to play games that aren't compatible with windows 8; which are all causing my blue screens,
