    Hi,

I got an Inspiron 7559 a couple of years ago. I had to replace the screen, because the colors were very off, but the one I bought is better. I mostly use my computer for work (photography, graphic design) and gaming.
I'm planning to buy a new laptop in 2-3 years and I would like to know if Dell improved the display used in the laptops?

I saw a G5 review yesterday where they said it was only like 62% sRGB and 47% AdobeRGB colors which is really bad I think.

What models have good colors and brightness?

    Thank you

It's hard to answer such a general question. Some models ship with several screens. Sometimes if you get a higher resolution screen there's only one panel model, so you have a better idea of what you'll receive. I would narrow down a list of machines you're considering and then investigate and compare the screen options available.

If you're a photographer/graphic designer and color accuracy matters a lot to you, perhaps consider investing in a quality monitor for when you're at home.

Yes, I would sort out which model your really interested in and then custom order it from Dell, ensuring that you're getting the screen you want?

For all we know in 2 to 3 years when you are looking to upgrade OLED or MicroLED could be more common which would improve colors greatly.

Generally the inspiron/entry gaming laptops don't have the best colors. I usually find dell displays to be pretty decent but if you want color accuracy, you usually have to pay for it.

Inspiron 13 7000 2 in 1 has a 4k oled screen with 98% color accuracy. Or, any of the xps 4k models. all the gaming stuff will not have great screens for that because that's not what they are used for.

Yes, I'm 73, and can read this screen in 1080 pretty well, I have been training my eyes to it
